Itinerary
Start your journey early in the morning and head towards Ouarzazat, a city known as the "door of the desert". On your way, you'll pass through Taliwin and Taznakht, two towns famous for their traditional Berber carpets and pottery. Once you arrive in Ouarzazat, check into your hotel and spend the evening exploring the city.
After breakfast, head towards Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most well-preserved kasbahs in Morocco. You can explore the kasbah and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding landscape. In the evening, return to Ouarzazat for another night.
Today, you'll venture deeper into the desert. After breakfast, drive to Zagora and then to M'Hamid El Ghizlane, where you'll start your camel trek to Erg Lihoudi. You'll spend the night in a traditional Berber camp in the middle of the desert, enjoying a delicious dinner under the stars.
After breakfast, say goodbye to the desert and head towards the Valley of the Daraa River. Along the way, stop in Agdz to visit the Kasbah Tamnougalt, an impressive example of traditional Moroccan architecture. Once you arrive in Tamnougalt, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring the valley.
Today, you'll drive to Tinghir, a small town known for its stunning oasis and nearby Todgha Gorge, a canyon with towering walls that reach up to 984 feet high. You can hike along the gorge and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. In the evening, return to Tinghir for a well-deserved rest.
After breakfast, drive to Kalaat M'gouna, a town famous for its roses and rosewater. You can visit a local rose cooperative and learn about the traditional methods of rosewater production. Then, continue on to Gorge Dades, a deep canyon with towering rock formations that make for an unforgettable view. Spend the night in a hotel overlooking the gorge.
On your final day, head back to Agadir. Along the way, stop in Taroudant, a walled city known for its colorful markets and souks. Spend some time exploring the city before continuing on to Agadir, where you can relax on the beach or explore the city before departing.
